Fast Delivery

It is of paramount importance to us that all orders are processed and shipped expeditiously ensuring you will receive your parcel as quickly as possible. You will be provided with a tracking number for your order to trace your parcel at any time - we apologise that this service is not available for International customers or Furniture Deliveries.

Sending Gifts

It is our pleasure to provide a complimentary gift wrapping service & gift card upon request. When ordering a gift, please provide the recipient's name and address (so we can ship direct) and any special instructions and wording for your card upon checkout. Let us take care of the rest!

If you need an item in a hurry, no problem. Almost all of our items are in stock and can be dispatched within 24-hours. Please note furniture & some exclusions apply.

Communication

It is important to us at French Dressing that our valued clients are kept informed of every stage of the transaction process. Notifications are sent to the nominated e-mail address:

- upon payment being received; and
- once your parcel has been dispatched from our warehouse.

A parcel tracking number is always provided to you. We apologise that this service is not available for International or Furniture Deliveries.

Refund Policy (Non Furniture, Wallpaper or Special Order Items)

We understand that at times you may change your mind when purchasing a product. French Dressing is delighted to offer you a store credit on your purchases you wish to return (does not include postage costs) provided:

1. the item is returned to us within 7 days of receipt:

2. the item is in its original conditional & packaging; and

3. the item arrives to us undamaged.

Refund Policy (Furniture or Wallpaper Items)

Once a furniture or wallpaper/mural order has been paid for (or the first lay-by payment has been made), we apologise that refunds cannot be provided.

Our refund policy does not diminish your Consumer Rights.

Initial Deposit

An initial deposit of 25% is required on the order total including shipping costs.

Deposits must be received within 5 days of ordering. Please note it can take up to 3 business days for direct deposits to appear in our bank account.

Completion Date

Orders must be paid in entirety within the following timeframes:

Orders under $2000 - within 6 weeks of the order date; and

Orders above $2000 - within 8 weeks of the order date

Payment Frequency

We ask that weekly or fortnightly payments on your Lay-By purchase be made.

If you would kindly email us each time a payment has been made that would greatly assist us in identifying the payment that would be appreciated. For security purposes, credit card details are not kept on file. We ask that you telephone us on 1300 998 808 or 02 9699 8808 to make each payment.

Furniture Orders

All layby furniture orders comply with our Furniture Policy. No refunds will be provided on furniture orders once the layby has commenced (this does not diminsh your Consumer Rights). Once the final payment is made furniture will be ordered in for you. It can take up to 8 weeks to receive the item into our warehouse however in most cases it is earlier than this. We can then commence coordination of transport for you.

Homeware Orders (non bulky goods)

For Homeware items if you do have a "change of mind" it will be our pleasure to offer you a store credit. A $10 cancellation fee will apply to cover administration costs.

Other Terms

Layby purchases are not cumulative; each new purchase constitutes a new layby. You may finalise your Layby earlier than the due date, by paying the full balance owing, there are no additional fees.

Shipping Charges

To calculate shipping for an individual item or multiples of that same item, please click on the shipping calculator within the item description. If multiple items are being ordered in the one transaction, you will be able to see the combined shipping rate once these items are added to the shopping cart and before checkout is completed. For furniture deliveries - we ask that someone is on the receiving end to assist the driver with the offload of deliveries. If a two man delivery team is required - additional charges will apply.

Combined Shipping

Purchasing several items at one time saves tremendously on shipping charges so don't forget to view our beautiful range to combine your order and save on shipping costs. We are pleased to offer this option for orders that can be forwarded in the one parcel from the one warehouse. Your postage amount will be worked out automatically at checkout. You can then pay using your preferred payment method.

Approximate Delivery Times

Non-Bulky Goods

French Dressing ships Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and usually within 24 hours of your payment being received & cleared. If by some chance there is a delay in sending your parcel we will contact you.

In most cases your parcel will be shipped by Australia Post or via courier service. Your parcel will be delivered during normal business hours and will need to be signed for on delivery. If no-one is home at the time, the parcel will be taken to your local post office (or held by the courier depot in the case of the courier service) and a calling card will be left advising you of this.

Furniture Delivery

French Dressing's personalised service ensures that your furniture purchase arrives at your door as economically as possible and in the hands of specialists. Upon receiving your order, we will be in contact with an expected delivery date into our warehouse and will commence delivery arrangements in consultation with you. Please expect a delivery time once the item is received into our warehouse of up to 2 weeks (longer for outer country areas or in peak periods) depending on where you are and the direction our drivers are heading.

As our drivers are specialists, we would ask for your patience if delivery takes an extra week or two - you can be assured of your purchase being delivered in trusted hands. Please note that standard furniture delivery has 1 man on the truck, therefore he will require help to lift the item off at point of delivery. If no-one is able to assist an additional fee may apply to cover a further resource. If there will be no-one at home to receive the items on scheduled delivery date, be sure to contact us as a redelivery fee may apply.

Delivery quoted is for the item to be delivered inside the front door for properties with easy access. If you require the item to be transported to the room of your choice or you have difficult access, please contact us for a quotation and we will be pleased to assist.

Sending Gifts

Expedited shipping is important to us. For Australian Buyers, dependant on your location, we generally use the Australia Post e-Parcel Service or a courier service for delivery. French Dressing takes extreme care when packaging your valuable items, however we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage that occurs during transport (this does not diminish your Consumer Rights).

Australia Post - Within Australia

We are pleased to provide an option to take out Australia Post Insurance Cover which is optional although highly recommended. Insurance costs $3.05 for each $100 value to protect against loss or damage of your parcel.

In the event of a claim, the item must be brought by the customer in its original packaging to your nearest Australia Post Office, and a claim form must be completed within the following timeframes:

  • In the event of damage, within 7 days of the date of delivery; and
  • In the event of loss, within 30 days of the receipt of this notice.

Failure to comply with these conditions will result in insurance being voided (this does not diminish your Consumer Rights). If we may be of assistance in anyway, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team at info@frenchdressing.com.au or on 02 9699 8808.

Furniture Delivery - Within Australia

French Dressing is pleased to coordinate furniture delivery on your behalf. However we highly recommend you take out transit insurance, because although we take all due care with your valuable items, we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage that occurs during transport.

If you do choose transit insurance, you must thoroughly check your delivery for damage caused in transit before signing for it, otherwise if the item is signed for and transit damage is evident, insurance may be voided by the delivery company (this does not diminish your Consumer Rights). Notification of faulty or damaged goods must be advised upon receipt of item by phone 02 9699 8808 or email info@frenchdressing.com.au.

Courier Service

Insurance is included as part of this service. It is important to note that your parcel must be thoroughly checked for damage caused in transit prior to signing for your parcel otherwise if the parcel is signed for and transit damage is evident, insurance may be voided by the delivery company (this does not diminish your Consumer Rights).

International Deliveries

International deliveries are serviced by Australia Post. We highly recommend postage insurance as while we take great care with packaging, we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage in the post.

Furniture Policy

Furniture Availability

Once payment has been received in full, items in stock will usually be delivered within:

  1. 2 weeks to Sydney and Melbourne Metropolitan Areas ; and
  2. Approx. 3 weeks to all other areas dependant on your region - please contact us for delivery timeframes for your area.

If an item is out of stock in our warehouse, dispatch may take up to 12 weeks however we do aim to have your items delivered to you as fast as possible.

To ascertain if an item is in stock or if you have any questions at all regarding delivery timeframes, please do not hesitate to contact us:

Images & Fabric, Timber and Wallpaper Dye Lots

Every effort has been made to display products as accurately as possible on this website. As the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor's resolution, French Dressing cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be accurate. For this reason we suggest you visit our showroom or a fabric, timber or wallpaper sample is requested from us to ensure the accuracy of colour. Please note also that with fabrics, timbers and wallpapers, dye lots can vary between shipments. It is the buyer's responsiblilty to confirm the actual colour of an item prior to ordering as refunds will not be provided as a result of any perceived variance between an image and the actual item. This does not diminish your Consumer Rights).
